Hi, guys and I'm here to share my colony simulation reflections. I have 5 questions that I've asked my self. Here they are!
Q1. What did I learn?
A. I learned that colonies were risky and they depended on luck quite a lot.
Q2. What was challenging in this simulation?
A. I thought being the governor (I was the governor) was very challenging because you make difficult decisions and others disagree and I am held responsible for the mistakes we make and I think that led me into making more mistakes, and that making me make even more mistakes and that was one of the biggest challenges in my opinion. Also, I think that battling with other colonies was very challenging because we team with one colony and plan attacking the other colony, they betray, and things like that and that led me to making silly mistakes and I think I really ruined our colony because of that.
Q3. What was the fun part of this simulation?
A. I think battling was very challenging but it was the best part (I mean that it was fun, not that I was any good at it) because (this is the same reason it was challenging) you didn't know what others and native Americans will do and deciding what to carry to the New World was very fun and challenging
Q4. What strategy did you use to be the most successful colony?
A. I think our colony's strategy was being prepared before doing anything and I think that was a very good strategy but also the strategy that got us in fight with Goldentown.
Q5. If you were to do this again, what would you change?
A. I would and SHOULD listen to other people more since not listening to the other colonists very much caused me to make big mistakes I made in this simulation and I'd share our strategy with others instead of worrying for little things and lying to other colonies and get in big trouble. Also, I'll think about all the things that might happen in the future and how likely it is for that to happen (I really didn't want to calculate all that but just have fun and that was a big mistake) and be ready for whatever that might come.
That's about it and if you have other questions, leave them on the comments and I'd also like to apologize to the other colonists in our colony for being a bad governor and not listening to them. Make sure to leave a comment for suggestions, comments. or whatever you want to say.
